I really like the fact that we did not go anywhere fun for spring break (considering that it would not be fair for Kyle, who is not on spring break). I like this because even though I have to do piano, chinese, robotics, and more stuff, I get to stay with grandma! Also, as a reward for not complaining for doing chinese and piano, I get to got to McDonalds with her (we were going to go this afternoon, but it was really rainy).
Anyways, the rain is good. I bet in Snoqualmie they had like 10 feet of powdered snow, and I get to ride on it after it is groomed!!! Or, I can think of doing a 180 on a small jump. And tomorrow dad is taking me to go skiing! Even if it is only the afternoon, it will be awesome!
Today I watched a video about the 5 easiest tricks to do on skis: twist, safety grab, japan, 180, and 360. I'm going to try the 180 first on a small jump, then move up to a twist on a bigger jump. After I finish all of these, I will try a 360. Just imagine being able to do that! But only being able to do jumps is no fun, so I will try a fatty rail. After these, I will slowly move up the rank until I reach double 360 cork. That would be great!
I also want to get better at landing big jumps. I always lean back, and that caused the back injury that happened. People say that the biggest problem for doing is that people lean too far forward.. I want to do that! But, I will just swing my arms to tilt a little.
Yesterday, I forgot to tell you about how me and grandma went to McDonalds to eat lunch. It was great! I ordered a double cheeseburger, large fries (for me and grandma), and a sprite. It was great, and I even got a refill on my drink and got a DIET coke. No sugar!
But after going to McDonalds, we went shopping at safeway. I even got 2 batches of pepperoni! I love pepperoni. It has the mix of both saltiness and spiciness. Of course, it always helps to have some water near you in case you catch fire. I call this scenario "when your tongue decides to retire"!
Today, I even ate the ENTIRE batch of pepperoni because I felt like it! 😆
Why do you like doing robotics by yourself?
I like this because there are no other people to judge you, no other people to criticize you, everything you do is right. But without teammates, you might not be able to single handedly build or code the robot you are working on, whereas a team can work together to accomplish goals and do things. But, something that I like about building along is that you are able to play music! Since there are no others to say something about your music, you can vibe with whatever you like! This helps me focus a little bit more, like when I feel dejected, I will listen to some music, but my dad doesn't like my music that much. Here's a sample of music I like...
Why do you like doing robotics with others?
I like this because working as a team encourages brainstorming and collaborative thinking. Different perspectives can spark creativity and lead to more innovative and effective solutions than an individual might conceive alone. Maybe you work as a team of 5. If everyone has a different approch, there will be 5 different ideas! If you are an individual, you may only come up with 1 idea! This limits the team's creativity.
Today dad drove us to his office, near puget sound, and my family took a stroll around the pier area. First, we went to a pier with an open chess set, and I played against Kyle. It was a very good battle, and I eventually took advantage and won the game. I also played a game against another kid, and won by a lot, no offense. Then, we supposedly went to a park, but it was just a garden with a bunch of weird statues. I complained that I was hungry, so we decided to turn back. This is when everything got fun.
Because it was such a long walk back, Kyle, Dad, and I decided to use electric scooters to ride back. Mom and grandma didn't want to use it, so they walked back while we rode VERY far off, about 4 or 5 piers away from where we started. Riding the scooter was so much fun! I could feel the wind in my hair (going 12 miles an hour), and me and dad were racing each other. After all of this fun, we asked mom if she was near the chess place, and she said she walked past Pike Place Market already, so we rushed back just in time to meet mom at my dad's office.
In dad's office, we ate a lot of stuff, and dad even showed me how to make coffee by grinding beans! I had never seen anything like it, since at my house we use premade packets. I ate a popsicle of some sort, and I even found a drink that said "Vitamin B12: 6950% of daily value". I know, after I saw that I didn't drink another sip, but mom said it was okay, since I didn't drink this stuff very often anyways. I also robbed a rice circle snack, and some lindor chocolates.
Today I just didn't do anything. Nothing significant happened, I didn't get excited at all (but I did get embarrassed a lot, which I will talk about later.), but today's lunch was good. It was chicken teriyaki. Today I also finished all of my assignments. And now I am writing a diary.
I will explain why I got embarrassed. So, when Mrs. Iniguez was talking about our class charter (respectful, responsible, focused, encouraged, and some other stuff), she said my name after the first 2 words since it was funny. THEN, the WHOLE CLASS started saying "JACE" after she said one of the things one the class charter. Everyone laughed at me, even though it wasn't actually that funny. Here's the thing: Mrs. Iniguez also called out others' name, but everyone says MY name! Why?
☹️☹️☹️
Today I had a rough day at soccer training. I kept messing up and I kept making bad passes. I understood this tactic (winger and centermid switching positions), but this whole "switch" thing wasted time, and by the time the winger was open, I already have the opposing team's striker on me. So, I kept failing a bunch of times. I also tried to cut back, but it was too slow, and whoever was pressing would steal the ball immediately.
I enjoyed school, though. I got a 46 out of 46 on a math test, and I get learner's choice, I think. I also had chicken tenders for lunch which non-fried fries. It was literally just baked potato that was sliced. But it was good enough to make me eat all of it. JUST KIDDING! I always finish my lunch!
